When people donate clothes to organizations, giving undergarments is usually the last thing anyone thinks of because of the regular use and very personal nature of these items. This leaves many homeless women and other women in need, including those in some private jails, without adequate undergarments.

A bra and underwear is a necessity for women. Thus, we have the "Bras and Books" program during the holiday season. People can drop off new undergarments, along with a good inspirational book to provide support for both the body and mind.

We will also accept menstrual products, as this is an ongoing need for many homeless women.

Look for details (dropoff location, days/times) for this important initiative on our website and social media.

We are offering four writing sessions for youth ages 12-19. The best youth writers may have a chance to get their work published!

Participants will learn the conventions of fiction, poetry, songwriting or screenwriting, as well as receive written notes and tips. They will submit their work for review and feedback. Full details of the course will be given upon registration.

Registration begins on May 1 and ends on June 1. The sessions will be held at:

Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve
3787 Klondike Road, Lithonia, GA 30038
